Aitana Bonmatí and Vinícius Jr. also monopolize the Globe Soccer Awards

MADRID, 27 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish soccer player Aitana Bonmatí, from FC Barcelona Femení, and the Brazilian Vinícius Júnior, from Real Madrid, have won this Friday respectively in the categories of Best Player and Best Player at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), while Their teams have also been decorated as the dominators of 2024.

Organized by the Globe Soccer entity with the support of the Dubai Sports Council and under the sponsorship of the real estate company Beyond Developments, the awards ceremony for this 15th edition took place at the luxurious Atlantis Hotel, within The Palm tourist complex.

In the main categories, Vinícius Jr. was chosen as Best Player and crowned his December after having recently received The Best from FIFA. The culé Bonmatí achieved the same in Best Player, since both she and the merengue striker guided their teams to two titles in the Champions League and the Spanish Leagues.

Not in vain, these Globe Soccer Awards awarded Real Madrid the Best Men’s Club and Barça the Best Women’s Club. To make matters worse, the Madrid president Florentino Pérez won a special award in honor of his entire professional career and then the Italian Carlo Ancelotti was the winner in the Best Coach category.

The awards from Englishman Jude Bellingham in the Best Midfielder category and Vini Jr. himself in the Best Forward category rounded off the ceremony for Real Madrid. Even the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, Merengue legend and current Al-Nassr FC footballer, won in the category of Best Player in the Middle East.

Al-Ain FC won Best Club in the Middle East and also Portuguese Jorge Jesus (Al-Hilal SFC) won Best Coach in the Middle East. Later, another Portuguese, Jorge Mendes, was chosen as Best Agent; and regarding the other office award, the Italian Piero Ausilio (Inter Milan) won the Best Sports Director.

Furthermore, and after a string of special awards to the Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), the Brazilian striker Neymar Jr. (Al-Hilal SFC), the former English defender Rio Ferdinand and the former Italian playmaker Alessandro Del Piero, Olympiacos FC won in the category of Revelation Club after having won the UEFA Conference League under the orders of Basque coach José Luis Mendilibar.

Finally, the other great Spanish note of the gala was seeing the culé winger Lamine Yamal winning in the Emerging Player category, having established himself in Barça throughout the last campaign and at the start of the current 2024/25 season, and having been essential in the men’s Euro Cup won by Spain last summer.
