The 1-3 culé to Rosengard was from the center of the field
BARCELONA, 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The women’s FC Barcelona signed a new victory in its perfect start to the season by beating (1-4) this Thursday the Swedish Rosengard in Malmö, the second day of the Champions League, with doubles from Aitana Bonmatí and Mariona Caldentey.
The culé team signed its seventh victory in seven games so far this year, against a rival who fought to try to add their first points, but who gradually ran out of resources. Jonatan Giráldez’s team gained precision in their domain until they scored a win to lead Group D with six points.
Barça had to work hard to subdue the rival, intense and more used to a field with artificial grass. It was 10 minutes and the start of the rain that gave way to the visitor’s improvement. Geyse had them, almost without luck, and the Swedish azulgrana Rolfö also pressed with her family in the stands.
Half an hour later, the local Barça player assisted Bonmatí to make it 0-1 and, before the break, Geyse also retaliated with a great play that culminated the Spanish international with the 0-2. With the game slipping away, Rosengard went alive into the second half thanks to Holdt’s 1-2 in stoppage time.
The Swedish team resisted Barça’s dominance after the restart, but Barça grew once again and also found the punch with Caldentey making it 1-3 from midfield. With just under half an hour to go, Irene Paredes hit the woodwork and Barça forgave without regret.
Mariona signed his double in the middle of the visiting siege of the Swedish champion, already in added time, with a culé team that put the direct, at stake and goals. Those of Giráldez had the bad news of the injury of Caroline Hansen, a Barça that remains strong on its way to the crosses and the European reconquest.
