The former president of Real Zaragoza Agapito Iglesias, former director Francisco Javier Porquera and the club have reached an agreement to avoid the trial for defrauding the Treasury about 900,000 euros of the transfer of the player Peter Luccin and for which the former has accepted six months in jail and 150,000 euros of fine. The agreement with the Provincial Court of Zaragoza also includes three months in prison for Porquera and a fine of 25,000 euros, while the club has accepted 100,000 euros of fine and the impossibility of obtaining public aid, subsidies, benefits or tax incentives or the Social Security for nine months, according to legal sources.
Equally, the Hearing has withdrawn the accusation against the manager Paco Checa and the player himself, who played in two stages in the Aragonese club (2007-08 and in 2009 although in the latter a knee injury caused him not to be registered). The agreement has been possible given that the defendants recognized the fault and previously entered the Treasury a total of 1,266,989 euros.
