AFE wants to be at the meeting on the future of non-professional football

The Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) reported this Saturday that “it has sent a letter to Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, after learning of the meeting called this Monday to which the presidents of the different regional federations “and in which the future of non-professional football will be debated.

Through a statement, the AFE has remarked that, “as matters of vital importance for the soccer team are dealt with in said meeting,” it has requested to attend this meeting “in which decisions will be made on how and when the different competitions next season, “he indicated.

“By affecting said decisions to members and affiliates (Second B, Third Division, First female and Second female) to this union, AFE understands that their assistance is important, in order to contribute and join efforts for the benefit of said categories and the and the footballers “, has indicated the union.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has convened for this Monday the presidents of the territorial federations to a meeting in which they will be informed of the current situation and the pertinent decisions will be taken as to how and when the competitions can start non-professionals.

The RFEF plans to act by common agreement and in the same line as all the Spanish team sports federations, taking into account the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
