The Spanish taekwondo player Adriana Cerezo insisted this Monday that “it is important not to settle” and “always give a little more”, when she enters the final stretch for Paris 2024, warning that “when you are among the best, the differences are so minimal “You have to be very focused.”
“I need to feel comfortable to know that I'm fine. I like to start training and feel like I'm at my best. It's important not to settle, since there are a lot of emotions; you always have to give a little more,” said Cerezo in statements shared by the Solunion insurance company collected by Europa Press.
The one from Alcalá de Henares participated in a meeting in which aspects such as perseverance, concentration and the importance of knowing how to define one's own limits were addressed when the Paris 2024 Games approach. An event next summer for which Cerezo is a one of the favorites, after their silver in Tokyo 2020.
“When you are among the best, the differences are so minimal that you have to be very concentrated,” warned the young Spanish athlete, who shared space with tennis player Martín de la Puente, fourth in the world chair tennis ranking.
During the session, De la Puente, current Spanish champion, revealed details of his preparation for Paris, for which the support of his team and the support of the public is key. “You have to be aware that success is comforting, but there are always risks and it is inevitable to lose sometimes.
