Adrián Becker and Pedro Gómez Albendea, silver and bronze in the Paralympic Shooting World Championship

MADRID, 27 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Tuesday, Adrián Becker from Valencia and Pedro Gómez Albendea from Toledo gave two more medals to the Spanish delegation present at the Paralympic Shooting World Championships being held in Lima by winning silver in the PT3-SG-U shotgun modality for athletes with disabilities in the arms and bronze in the mixed PT1-SGS shotgun category for people in wheelchairs, respectively.

As reported by the Spanish Federation of Sports for People with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF), Becker entered the final after dominating the qualifying phase by registering 108 points, ten more than the Frenchman Jean Michel Brune, who stood at 98.

However, the final was dominated by the Italian Gabriele Nanni, who recorded a shooting card of 40 points, two more than the 38 achieved by the Valencian shooter, while the podium was completed by the Emirati Ahmad Buhaleeba.

For his part, Pedro Gómez Albendea from Toledo, in the mixed PT1-SGS shotgun category for people in wheelchairs, won the bronze medal. Like Becker, he was the best in the classification with 102, but in the final he could only be third, behind the Italian Davide Fedrigucci and the Finn Juha Millymaki.

These two medals join the two golds achieved by the Basque shooter Ager Solabarrieta in the 10-meter rifle categories for people with visual disabilities, both standing and sitting.
