Adrià Pedrosa signs five seasons with Sevilla

MADRID, 1 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Defender Adrià Pedrosa signs for five seasons with Sevilla FC, until June 30, 2028, after becoming a free agent after expiring his contract with RCD Espanyol, the Andalusian club announced this Saturday.

The 25-year-old left-back from Barcelona thus becomes the second addition to the Nervionense team for the next campaign after the Argentine center-back Federico Gattoni.

Pedrosa trained in the lower categories of the UE Castelldefels and EF Gavà before joining the Espanyol youth academy at the age of 16. He debuted in the First Division with the first team led by Rubi on matchday six of the 2018-19 season against Real Betis, and in April 2019 he scored his first goal in the highest category of Spanish football on matchday 32 in the victory against Deportivo Alavés (2-1).

The Catalan made the leap to the first team in that 2018-19 season, and the following year he settled with David Gallego on the bench; As a full member of the first team, he played 20 league games -one goal-, eight in the Europa League -two goals and two assists- and three in the Copa del Rey. Despite everything, the team descends to Second.

In the following season, he returned to Primera with him as a fixture in the eleven. Regarding the past 2022-23 campaign, he missed a large part of the year due to injury; He reappeared in April and played seven games, although the parakeet box fell again.
