Adidas is inspired by nature to create the second shirts for the women’s World Cup

MADRID, 23 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The sports firm adidas presented this Thursday the second kits of the ten teams, including Spain, which you are wearing and who will compete this year in the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with designs inspired by nature.

In addition to Spain, the teams from Argentina, Colombia, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica and Sweden –Italy and Jamaica were previously presented– already know what colors and design they will defend in the World Cup.

“Each national kit is inspired by nature and highlights the diverse and iconic natural landscapes of each country, such as the dense forests of Germany, the vast glacial rivers of Sweden and the ever-changing colors of the Caño Cristales River in Colombia.” , expressed the brand.

As for the Spanish team’s away jersey, it is inspired by the “precious coral reefs” that cover the country’s long coastline, a singularity that it shares with the famous coral reefs of the tournament’s host countries. , Australia and New Zealand.

“The increase in sea temperatures has already taken its toll on most of the coral reefs of the so-called Costa Blanca. For this reason, this design seeks to raise awareness and discuss the effects that greater global warming would produce on reefs” , the brand provided in its statement.

The vice president of product and design for adidas soccer, Sam Handy, assured that the kits presented “will remain engraved in the history” of soccer and the Women’s World Cup. “As the tournament is held in Australia and New Zealand, two countries with extraordinary landscapes, we wanted to create a common thread in all our kits that honors and highlights the natural wonders of the world,” he explained.

The kits for Argentina, Colombia, Germany, Japan and Spain have been made with materials and textures that provide comfort and freshness to the players in moments of greatest intensity thanks to HEAT.RDY technology.
