The film industry is in mourning. Canadian actor Donald Sutherland, died this Thursday at the age of 88. The causes of his death are still unknown. The brilliant performer leaves a widow, Francine Racette, and five children from three different marriages. Precisely the best known of the five, Kiefer, who followed in the professional footsteps of his father, has been in charge of breaking the sad news through social networks.
“It is with great sadness that I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. Personally, I think he is one of the most important actors in the history of cinema. He never doubted a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and he did it what he loved, and you can never ask for more than that. A life well lived,” he wrote on social networks.

One of the most prominent faces of New Hollywood in the 1970s, Sutherland was long considered one of the greatest actors, despite never having been nominated for an Oscar.
