Act of Hermoso: hand to neck and silence on finger in eye

Last LaLiga champion loses a headline man for his second game of the season (Atlético-Elche). Mario Hermoso, who saw the red in the Balaídos game. It was in the final tangana, as if the sparks of the last friendly in Roterdam, against Feyernoord, that stripped Carrasco's cable on the head, had flown to Balaídos. The struggle of 90 minutes, the excessive addition, seven minutes, and a brutal stomp from Hugo Mallo to Luis Suárez were the spark.

Suddenly tangana. Suddenly, arms that fly, shoves that are given, players that huddle, separating, or leaving behind fingers. That was what turned Hermoso on. Of quiet nature, the rojiblanco central defender, was in the heat when he felt like a finger it got into his right eye. Because if. Because anything goes in battle. It was from Aspas. He stopped seeing. It angered him.

The minutes did not pick it up

The referee, in his minutes, did not record this action. Yes, another one, however, the one that led him to take the red one out of his pocket, directing it to Hermoso's face. That footballer who had reached the place where Suárez lay in the first place, after that stomp that was wearing Mallo's shackles. “Sent off for holding an opponent by the neck with both hands continuously without the ball in play”.

On the red to Mallo, second yellow, the first for the entrance on Suárez, he wrote a “argue with an opponent without insults or threats”. No finger in the eye only the photo remains, screenshot of the match on television, his active role in the fight, in that tangana that closed the match in Balaídos with two men early in the shower, him, Mallo, and the rojiblanco, Mario.

Aspas apologizes to Hermoso

For his part, Iago Aspas published a message on his Instagram making public his apologies to Mario Hermoso. “From here I apologize to Mario as I did personally for the ugly detail I had,” he explained.
