The Spanish weightlifter Acorán Hernández finished ninth this Friday in the World Cup that is being played in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), in a 67 kg category in which he signed an absolute Spanish record.
The fourth day of the Spanish team in the World Cup left the canary’s record-breaking performance, with an Olympic total of 300 kg, 136 kilos lifted in snatch and 164 kilos in two stages.
Galician Víctor Castro also competed in this category, who with 275 kilos of the Olympic total (127 and 148), was nineteenth. For his part, Ismail Jamali from Melilla, who made his debut in an absolute World Cup, was tenth in the 73 kg category, a new record for Spain’s junior (138 and 167).
