After stunning the world with his impressive comeback against Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open final, where he won his 21st Grand Slam title, Rafa Nadal is already thinking about his next steps on the circuit.
“Yes or yes, I would like to be in Indian Wells (March 10-20) and I am signed up for Acapulco (February 21-26), but well, let’s see what happens in the next few days, although with the results of Melbourne the perspective has changed”, explains Nadal, who “in the next few days” will have to “make decisions”.
What Rafa is clear about is that he would like to “continue playing”. “I have done it these last two years and I want to enjoy the competition again more frequently.”
After those hard court tournaments, Nadal wants to “arrive well prepared for the clay season” and try to play again in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros, where he will try to add 22 in a square where Djokovic’s presence is not guaranteed if he continues without getting vaccinated.
