A player from the Valencia squad, whose name the club has not revealed, has tested positive for covid-19 after tests carried out this Wednesday on members of the Mestalla team.
Valencia has indicated in a statement that the affected footballer has been isolated at his home, as well as his close contacts and that the corresponding protocols have been activated by LaLiga and the club itself.
Last Sunday, Valencia played in Vitoria against Alavés and on Monday morning it was learned that Manu García, a player for the Basque team, had tested positive. The tests to which the members of the Valencian team were subjected that same day did not give any positive results, but this Wednesday a case has been detected.
