A superior Osasuna is reunited with victory

Osasuna and Celta faced a match that the two needed to win. The rojillos wanted to erase the bad image offered against Levante and put an end to the streak of two consecutive defeats. Oscar's also arrived with the need to correct mistakes and add three at a time. Jagoba Arrasate revolutionized the team, introducing up to 6 changes and modifying all the lines, except for the goal. The Vigo technician introduced three changes. The rojillos began warning after a corner kick and a comb from Lucas Torró, Iñigo Pérez tried from the front of the area. The two teams were trying but there was no clear dominator. Celta tried to take advantage of the cons and waited and the Navarrese pressed well and played directly.

In the 23rd minute, Roncaglia advanced his team, after collecting a rebound, with a spectacular goal from the edge of the area. His shoe slipped through the squad without Iván Villar doing anything and the Argentine, remembering his past at Celta, did not celebrate. It was about half an hour into the game when Iago Aspas was about to draw, which prevented a good intervention from Sergio Herrera. As a result of the goal, Osasuna fell back a bit to try to maintain his advantage. It was difficult for Celta to put depth to the game and circulate the ball in the center of the field, and those of Arrasate had possession of the ball. The Navarrese were comfortable and managed to reach the break with an advantage on the scoreboard. Already in the second half he tried not to lose control of the game, but Celta, who were mounting dangerous cons, was not willing to lower his arms and the game went back and forth in the first bars. After a good steal from Oier, Calleri had a good chance but ran out of angle. Shortly after, it was Celta who forgave the tie. However, it was difficult for Óscar's team to have continuity and play in the rival field.

Arrasate reinforced the center of the field with the entry of Moncayola and the exit of Enric Gallego. The rojillos pressed well and in a good combination on the left wing, Oier put a good ball to Calleri who went in with his head with everything but his ball went just touching the crossbar. A run-down Celta saw how in the 75th minute, Calleri, with a header, scored the two to dear, after a pass from Roncaglia. Celta tried without success, with an Osasuna he canceled it with his pressure, and the points, deservedly, stayed in Pamplona. The rojillos once again showed their best face and found victory again.

Arrasate: “We have to improve a lot”

Osasuna's coach, Jagoba Arrasate, has declared on the three points achieved today against Celta that give them peace of mind, but has warned that the rojillos will have to “improve a lot” to improve their performance. The Basque coach has valued “positively” the version shown this Sunday by Osasuna a week after losing 1-3 to Levante and thinks that the key to this has been “recognizing that we were not well.” “I think we had the advantage of not having played during the week, things as they are,” said Arrasate about a victory in which his team has grown as the minutes passed. The coach has been happy for the image that has given an Osasuna full of news in the starting eleven that has set a good game after a “hard week”. “We have maintained the block and we have signed very well, but the team must go further,” Berriatúa's said about some players who “have room for improvement.” Regarding the ownership of Torró, Arrasate has highlighted the good predisposition of Alicante to “improve and contribute” stepping on the rival area and putting pressure on the opposing team. “In the second half we were at our level and we deserved that second goal. I liked not having speculated on the scoreboard despite winning 1-0,” replied the red-and-white coach. —EFE
