A statue of Sancho Gracia, actor of ‘Curro Jiménez’ and grandfather of Daniel Sancho, is vandalized and the city council removes it

It was in 2014 when the Galician municipality wanted to pay tribute to one of its most beloved neighbors. Early this morning, the bust and the horse, made of bronze by the sculptor José Molares, were vandalised by individuals who have not yet been identified and the council has decided to remove it to avoid further damage: “For now, we do not plan to put it back.”they have said to ABC.

Many users have condemned this latest gesture by the residents of Mondariz: “What does the grandfather have to do with the grandson?
