A real estate agent in Metro Detroit has put off trading Matthew Stafford jerseys until after the Lions and Rams playoff game.

A real estate agent in Metro Detroit has put off trading Matthew Stafford jerseys until after the Lions and Rams playoff game.

Because the Lions have their first playoff game at home with the Los Angeles Rams, the Matthew Stafford shirt swap event scheduled for March 16 has been postponed.

Glover wanted to trade the 14-year-old veteran’s used, now-retro Lions shirt for 1,000 brand-new ones. Glover owns Glover Agency Realtors.

Glover Agency put out a news statement saying that the NFL had asked them not to host the Detroit Lions shirt swap.

In return, Glover said he would give sed shirts to Los Angeles, California, homeless organizations that need clothes for adults who are homeless.

Instead of honoring an opponent that wants to knock out their local team from the playoffs, Lions fans would be able to wear a brand-new on-field copy shirt with the name of a player who was already on the team.

Glover said, “As a fan, I understand what Stafford has accomplished for our city, but it drives me crazy to observe so many Stafford jerseys remaining worn by people at our own games.”

“Think about how you’d feel if you were our quarterback and looked out into Ford Field and saw hundreds or even thousands of fans wearing the jersey of another quarterback who is still in the playoffs and now plays against us!”

Before the event was canceled, Glover wanted to trade fans who brought back their barely used and clean Stafford shirts for Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Aidan Hutchinson jerseys.

Glover said, “I bought mostly Goff jerseys because we’ve got to get behind the quarterback who is going to take us all the way.

It just seemed proper to trade quarterback for quarterback, though only a few hundred fans will get to choose from one of the three.”

Since Stafford doesn’t play for the Lions anymore, I wanted to trade the shirt to someone who would like to wear their quarterback’s name on their back, thinking they are an LA Rams fan. I hope that even if they aren’t fans, it makes someone’s day or night a little better.

If it’s not a Jameson Williams jersey, people in metro Detroit might look at you funny if you wear a Detroit Lions No. 9 jersey this weekend.

One real estate agent in Detroit is helping fans trade in their old Matthew Stafford gear before he plays the Lions on Sunday on a new team.

Jeff Glover is a real estate agent in metro Detroit who has been a Lions fan since birth. He is giving his services to any Lions fans who want to get rid of an old Stafford Lions shirt before the Detroit Lions play the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the playoffs.

Glover said that on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., fans who want to trade their Stafford Lions shirt for a current team player can do so at Twin Peaks diner in Livonia.

He said he would trade any “gently used and freshly washed” Stafford Lions shirt for 1,000 jerseys of Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Aidan Hutchinson.

The jerseys are not official NFL shirts; they are copies from online stores. Please don’t wear T-shirts.

“I go to nearly every home match because it drives me crazy to observe so many Stafford jerseys within the crowd still—he’s a keen competitor,” Glover tells the news outlet.

“Imagine if you were Jared Goff; you’re taking this team on a run, or you’ve taken us further in the past three seasons than Matthew did in more than a decade, while you look out in the stands as well as see all sorts of Matthew Stafford jerseys.”
