A promising left-back from the Barça academy goes to Valencia

“Today ends my stage in the FC Barcelona. After 5 years I say goodbye to what has been my home. I can only thank all my teammates, coaches, staff, and those who have been present along the way. A new stage begins with great enthusiasm and with new challenges ahead”. In this way, through Instagram, the left-back said goodbye to La Masia Jan Montes, 16 years old, the last in the Cadet A of Barça youth football. Born in Girona, he had been at the club since he was 11 and his contract was ending.

Shortly after, the website esportbase.valenciaplaza.com announced the fate of the promising defender. He will become part of the youth category of the Valencia CF Academyclub for which he signs until 2024.

He is a player with a long journey on the left wing, with a good touch on the ball and a goal-maker with his assists. He has been a regular starter in Cadet A of the Barçachampion of its League and the Cup of Catalonia.
