A player in the G League and his girlfriend will be charged with murder in Las Vegas

A player for the Sacramento Kings’ G League team and his girlfriend were both charged with killing a woman whose body was found near Las Vegas earlier this month, according to the police.

On Sunday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said that Chance Comanche, 27, and Sakari Harnden, 19, will be charged with murder and kidnapping in the death of Marayna Rodgers, 23.

Rodgers was last seen on December 7. Her body was later found in Henderson, a neighborhood of Las Vegas, police said. Harnden was nabbed in Las Vegas on Midweek and is being held on a $500,000 bond right now.

The police haven’t said what killed the person or talked about a possible motive, but they did say they thought foul play was involved and had proof to arrest Harnden and Comanche.

Rodgers was a medical assistant in Washington State, and the police said Harnden was friends with him.
The cops say that Rodgers was in Las Vegas on December 5 with friends and had a meeting planned with Harnden, who came Comanche with her.

Comanche was arrested by the FBI in Sacramento, California, on Friday. He is being held without bond at this time.

He is being held by police until he can be sent back to Nevada. He is scheduled to appear in court in Sacramento on Tuesday.

A message sent to the Clark County, Nevada, prosecutor’s office asking for more information wasn’t answered right away.

And when I called the public defenders’ offices in Las Vegas as well as Sacramento on Monday to find out if they were defending Comanche or Harnden, neither of them answered right away.

Comanche played for the Stockton Kings, who are the Sacramento Kings’ NBA G League team. In 13 games, he scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The Kings hired Comanche in October, but they let him go 10 days later, and he joined Stockton.

Before registering for the NBA draft, Comanche played college basketball at the University of Arizona from 2015 to 2017.

He was a power forward and center. He didn’t get picked in the draft and signed a free agent deal with the Portland Trail Blazers in April of last year, but he only played in one game.

A 23-year-old woman who went missing in Las Vegas was found dead. Chance Comanche, a G League player for the Stockton Kings, and a 19-year-old woman will be charged with open murder and kidnapping, police said Sunday.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement that Marayna Rodgers’ body was found in a desert area in Henderson, Nevada.

Rodgers was a medical assistant from Washington State which was last seen in the Las Vegas area.

The 27-year-old Comanche was caught by FBI officers in Sacramento County, California, on Friday and was being held without bail.

Jail records show that 19-year-old Sakari Harnden was nabbed in Las Vegas on Wednesday on kidnapping charges and is being held on $500,000 bail at this time.

Las Vegas police say Rodgers was out with friends on December 5 and had a meeting planned with Harnden, who brought her boyfriend Comanche with her.

A G League player named Chance Comanche and his girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, were both arrested on open murder charges.

Fox News reports that on Friday, Dec. 15, FBI agents arrested 27-year-old Comanche in Sacramento County in connection with the death of Marayna Rodgers.

According to police records, the athlete is not qualified for bail. Harnden, who is 19 years old, was arrested on Wednesday (Dec. 13) on new kidnapping charges. The young girl was being held on $500,000 bail.

8 News Now said that Harnden’s criminal complaint for kidnapping said she “held or detained Rodgers against her free will and without her consent with the intention of killing her and/or inflicting bodily harm.”

Thursday (Dec. 7), Las Vegas police said Rodgers was missing. Rodgers was seen in documents hanging out with her friends in Las Vegas.

Rodgers planned to meet up with Harnden on Tuesday, December 5. Harnden was going to bring her boyfriend, Comanche.

The official statement from the LVMPD says that Marayna hasn’t been seen or heard from since that day. Detectives involved in the case think that she may have been killed or raped before she disappeared.

Judge Diana Sullivan of the Las Vegas Justice Court called the police to arrest the couple after getting more proof.
