“Sevilla FC reports that after the PCR tests carried out last Sunday on players, coaching staff and the rest of the staff, the results of which were known at noon on Monday, July 27, a member of the first-team squad tested positive at Covid- 19. The affected person is asymptomatic, in good health and is isolated at home.
Sevilla FC immediately notified all the competent sports and health authorities of this circumstance, isolated the infected person, temporarily suspended the team's training as a preventive measure, and carried out disinfection tasks at the facilities, strictly following the protocols established for these situations.
Since the positive was known, the club has already carried out two new individual PCR controls on the rest of the staff. In the first, all the tests carried out have been negative. The results of the second test will be released this Thursday morning, which has been carried out today.
Sevilla FC plans to return to training, individually and with all applicable measures, on Thursday afternoon, provided that the results of the second test carried out return negative.
Sevilla FC will promptly report any new developments in this regard. “
