A new train for Óscar Gil

The right-back position at Espanyol has an owner after more than half of the championship has been held. Miguel Llambrich accumulates 1,389 minutes for the 850 of Óscar Gil, who has started eight times for 17 of his teammate, loaned by Villarreal although with many options to follow the next course at the end of his contract with the Castellón entity. Miguelón, in addition, has started in the important matches of the course: the last one in Mallorca.

But an injury that will take him off the pitch for more than a month opens the doors for Gil, who will have to get on another train to establish himself in one of the positions that suffered the most changes in the preseason. The Alicante, who will turn 23 in April, arrived in exchange for 500,000 euros in August, just after promoting with Elche after his first campaign in LaLiga SmartBank, in which he played 33 games. International Under-21 on some occasion, he is called to be a winger for many years at the RCDE Stadium.

In the shadow of Miguelón, who started the starting course after completing the entire preseason under Vicente Moreno, Óscar Gil made his debut in Oviedo on the third day (0-2) although it was against Sabadell, curiously, the rival this Saturday, when he played more minutes and was able to contribute his depth on the side (0-1). With him on the field, Nico Melamed scored the winning goal.

Although the bet of the club is the Alicante, who signed four seasons, for the moment his performance has not served to unseat Miguelón at Moreno's discretion.
