A morning of tactics and strategy

The Real Madrid players faced the last working day of the week this morning, but not the last session, since Ancelotti's pupils will exercise again this afternoon from 18:00 in a session in which a training match with Fuenlabrada is scheduled. The white team will thus close its first week of preseason with ten training sessions, since Tuesday, Friday and Sunday they will have worked in a double session.

The morning, which began with a temperature of 26ºC, was dominated by work on tactics and strategy, with series of possession and pressure, tactical work, crosses and shots and concluded by rehearsing set pieces.. Mendy and Jovic went back to exercising in the gym, so Ancelotti had ten first-team players at his command: Lunin, Carvajal, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola, Isco, Odegaard, Lucas Vázquez, Mariano and Rodrygo. Eleven homegrown players are training with the first team: Toni Fuidias, Luis López, Mario Gila, Víctor Chust, Miguel Gutiérrez, Antonio Blanco, Morante, Marvin, Arribas, Latasa and David González.

The first internationals will not join until the third week of work, that of July 19. They will be Alaba (who has to be presented), Bale, Kroos, Modric, Varane and Benzema, whose teams fell in the second round of the European Championship.

The first preseason friendly will be on Sunday July 25 (19:00) against Rangers in Glasgow and The league debut is scheduled for Saturday, August 14 at 10:00 p.m. (Movistar LaLiga). The rival will be Alavés in Mendizorroza.
