A challenge of 7 duels in 21 days

Betis faces a dizzying calendar that will test its renewed project aimed at being competitive in three tournaments. This is what Manuel Pellegrini believes, which yesterday confirmed his satisfaction with the equipment manufactured and his hope that it will be enough to meet the objectives. The immediate sights point to a marathon of matches: he faces seven appointments in just 21 days with the challenge of raising his head in LaLiga after adding two points out of nine possible and also showing some reliability in the Europa League. And it will pull rotations to do so: it still has footballers to debut and it wants each piece of its squad to contribute its greatest potential in the coming weeks.

The challenge starts in Granada next Monday. Then Celtic from Glasgow will arrive at Villamarín for the European premiere and there will also be a trip to Budapest at the end of the month to measure forces against the Hungarian Ferencvaros. All this with the complex challenge of not losing strength in the League. “With Europe you arrive at three in the morning on a Friday, that conditions each game. We will make the team for each duel in line with the others,” Pellegrini himself warned. There is a clear invitation to a system of rotations that will begin with the League match against Granada.

Pellegrini has confidence in his block and trusts that he will respond as he did last year, when the team was able to alternate the Cup appointments with the League ones without losing any performance. In fact, it was the course of the season in which the Verdiblanco team achieved the best results. The Chilean appealed yesterday in an interview with the club's media to the need for pieces such as William Carvalho or Marc Bartra to enter the dynamics of the competition despite having less continuity in their line-ups. He also praised his homegrown players in the hope that they will be differential in these next dates. A whole accumulation of hopes aimed at getting the best possible juice from a team that will multiply its demands in the next 21 days.
