This October 12, 2020 marks the 65th anniversary of the first game of the Real
Madrid at home in the European Cup, now 'renamed' Champions
League. A competition in which whites are the undisputed leaders with 13 trophies.
On that date, in 1955, the Santiago Bernabéu hosted the second leg of the round of 16 of the competition against the Servette Swiss to which the white team 'endorsed a 5-0. The eleven, led by Jose Villlalonga, was made up of footballers like Di Stefano (who scored two goals), Paco Gento or Rial.
Since then, and to date, Real Madrid has won 262 in the competition of the 439 that it has played and has scored 973 goals, all of which are the highest records of the tournament each in its field.
