The Athletic Club B has eliminated Celta de Vigo B in the only subsidiary duel of this final phase due to promotion to the Second Division, so the Basques will be tomorrow in the draw for the last step to achieve this dream. Both teams started with similar schemes under the baton of Joseba Etxeberria and Onsésimo Sánchez, with pressure throughout the field and trying not to lose the core, and a lot of physicality.
Celta B's first chances were Soni's mark, with a very crossed shot and a second, somewhat more focused, that Iru covered with some problem. Very similar schemes, of intensity, pressure and without leaving gaps, prevented plays of real danger in both areas. Artola tried that, with the support of Williams, had two occasions in the first 20 minutes and that forced the celestial goalkeeper to show off.
Little by little the game left the core and the approaches began. The ball circulated quickly from area to area, with Williams and Soni very active, but it was Justo who put fear in the body of the Basques with a shot that narrowly left.
And from Athletic's door to Celta's, where Artola didn't hit a centered ball from Diarra by millimeters when Álvaro went ahead. The referee whistled the end of a balanced first half, physically demanding and with scoring opportunities for both teams.s.
The second began in the Celtic area as a result of the step forward taken by the Basque midfielders. What seemed like a balance of play and possibilities jumped after a direct red to Lozano in the 57th minute for knocking down Ewan, which left the Galicians with one less. It did not take long for Athletic B to take advantage of this rival's inferiority, because five minutes later a goal from Cabo arrived and shortly after Ewan took advantage of a measured center from Imanol to make it 2-0.
Far from being intimidated, Celta B had two chances, one from Solís and the other from Soni, which did not give any result, although it was Lucas Cunha who had the clearest chance with a ball that hit the Basque goal. It was the preamble dthe goal of the Galicians thanks to a direct free kick launched with elegance and effectiveness by Losada. The Galicians continued with the push and the Basques, with one more, maintained their advantage on the scoreboard despite taking more than one scare.
