2-0: Espanyol give themselves a convincing win

Espanyol a comfortable win was given this Wednesday and convincing on the day of its 120th anniversary by beating Ponferradina with goals from De Tomás and Embarba. There couldn't be a better gift highlighting the Miguelón and Darder contest, huge.

Victory of those who like to reaffirm themselves in the leadership and make it very clear who is the big favorite to ascendr. And it is that as a local, Espanyol is intractable: still unbeaten and undefeated in the RCDE Stadium.

This wednesdays struck down ‘Ponfe’ thanks to a first part where he overwhelmed his rival, opening the De Tomás melon (I hadn't been wetting for three games and I felt like it), to close the win Embarba at the restart with a goal of fortune but deserved.

Later, already in the second part, the parrots lowered the piston and the Bercianos grew, but the tremendous defensive strength Blue and white prevented the visiting team from even scoring the honor goal.

Vicente Moreno gave Fran Mérida rest and put in its place Darder, with Pedrosa and ‘Monito’ Vargas as headlines, the news regarding the Tenerife duel.

Espanyol came out very intense, making it clear from the first breath that he wanted end your birthday with a triumph. And he put a quick siege to the Ponferradina goal.

With a fast, incisive, associative and very vertical game, the parakeet monologue started early. In the 14 ', De Tomás stroked the goal, but he was very forced to finish off a good service of lack of Embarba. In the 17 'David López it also scared.

Espanyol was in charge and wanted to resolve quickly, remembering that in Tenerife they forgave the few chances they had and ended up getting a bittersweet point. I wanted to roll, as always at home, and Ponferradina defended herself like a cat belly up.

Those of Vicente Moreno squeezed, they liked each other in a few very good minutes (one of the best so far) and the award arrived. At minute 24, a Darder's superb center finished it off at will De Tomás with a soft and choppy shot first. A goal from 'killer' to open the scoring.

Without generating a flood of chances, Espanyol, far superior, ended up taking oil, just a reward for their vertical and poisoned football.

In the 27 ' David López had the second and at the end of half an hour there was a controversial double play in the Bercian area, but neither Embarba, nor the fall of RDT, was sanctioned with a penalty. And before reaching the break, the only play with some poison from the ‘Ponfe’, a shot from Yuri who caught Diego López in two times.

In the resumption Espanyol came out plugged and eager to sentence. And soon he did, with the help of fortune.

In 47 ', Embarba took advantage of a dead ball in the area to hem a shell that a Ponfe defender inadvertently combed, misleading his goalkeeper: 2-0. A goal with some fortune but that rewarded parakeet dominance.

With the 2-0, Espanyol relaxed their constant siege and the ‘Ponfe’ came up, seeking to reduce the disadvantage. Vicente Moreno took the opportunity to refresh his team with tickets from Fran Mérida, Puado and Keidi Baré.

The Berciano team stretched out and began to arrive with more verticality and danger, caressing the goal in Yuri and Doncel's boots (60 'and 61'), but the Perica defense endured the harassment, playing with fire on some occasions. In the final line, Moreno gave Darder and RDT rest, already thinking about Monday's game in Malaga.

Pol lozano, one of those who entered, took a whiplash at 86 'that went high. Y Rios Reina He also had a chance in 89 ', but Diego López remained firm.
