120 euros per month and medical assistance

Life imprisonment. Two options are being considered, and neither is good: Farmer’s Letter to Bang Kwangboth classified as two of the most dangerous and harsh prisons in the world. Whatever the case, the Spanish government has an obligation to ‘look after’ the son of Rudolph Sancho. The measures have already been put in place.

Firstly, financial aid is granted amounting to 120 euros per month to cover basic expenses that may arise in prison. Generally, they receive it through the pecuniary, that is, it is directly paid into the prison coffers on the prisoner’s account to spend in the internal shop. The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs explains that “it is the Consular Offices that provide this financial aid”, which has to be requested by the prisoner.

‘Fundación +34’ is currently in charge of assisting the 687 Spanish prisoners outside our borders, including Daniel, thanks to its more than 400 volunteers. In addition to the monthly payment, they provide humanitarian assistance, giving them basic necessities (a hygiene kit every three months) and medical assistance if they need it.

The Spanish Government, through its Consulates, is also responsible for visiting prisoners to check on their condition, communicating with their families, facilitating the sending of personal belongings from their respective homes, delivering messages and correspondence, attending trials and accompanying them during transfers, among other things.
