Córdoba, Jan 20 (EFE) .- Two goals by Brazilian Willian José sealed the pass to the eighth of the Copa del Rey de la Real Sociedad against Córdoba, a Second B team that stood up to a rival who ended up imposing his superior quality in the El Arcángel stadium.
The Brazilian, who could have played his last game in the Gipuzkoan team as his possible exit was open in this winter market, achieved 0-1 twelve minutes after the start of the second half and already in the final stretch of the clash he sentenced with the 0-2 (m.84).
Pablo Alfaro, with his team on an immaculate streak in defense -without goals conceded in six games-, gave the title to Edu Frías at the goal and to Farrando and Espejo in the rear, reinforcing the midfielder with Djak Traoré's muscle.
In the Real, the great novelty was the presence in the starting eleven of Asier Illarramendi after about 17 months of absence and an ordeal of injuries that took him to the operating room three times.
Those of Imanol Alguacil came out with high pressure, with control of possession against Córdoba that was trying not to lose order and close corridors on the wings.
La Real, after several frustrated forays, fired between the three sticks for the first time with a whiplash from Roberto López from afar that Edu Frías deflected with his fists. Barrenetxea and Merquelanz also tried, but their shots went out.
Córdoba took the pulse of the match, played under heavy rain, and strove to protect his frame. He did it with discipline and a physical display that made the Real players very uncomfortable maneuvering, who failed to beat Frías and went to rest with 0-0.
Guridi, in the 50th minute, had an excellent opportunity in a shot from close range and with the goalkeeper beaten, but Farrando launched himself to clear the ball on the line.
In 57, William José had more fortune and caught a center from Roberto and beat Córdoba and got the tie back on track, in which Barrenetxea, in minute 80, forgave the second in a phase in which the locals were pressing.
The one who did not forgive was Willian José, who decided with a distant shoe to sign a double that may be his last service to the Real if he leaves in the winter market bound for England.
