Toni Bou starts the Indoor World Cup with victory in Barcelona

The Spanish trial rider Toni Bou (Repsol Honda) won this Sunday at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona in the first round of the Indoor World Championship, his sixteenth victory at home to open the new season as the previous one closed.

The 32-time world champion started the first round with an error but managed to qualify for the final in first position with a recital in the second round. Bou did not fail before the Catalan public to achieve the first lead with 21 points, followed by his teammate, Gabriel Marcelli, with 15. The second meeting will take place in Austria on March 11.

“Very happy to start with a victory in Barcelona. We were a bit behind in the first round, but in the second round I felt more comfortable and that allowed me to finish first and play in the final.
