The Premier League has approved this Tuesday the proposal for the acquisition of the Chelsea by Todd Boehly/Clearlake Consortium, as announced by the English league after ratifying that the agreement meets the conditions.
The co-owner of Los Angeles Dodgers, Boehlyhad already agreed to a purchase of the ‘blues’ for 4,960 million euros and the property of the Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich -now yes, yes- is about to finish his mandate after 19 years.
A statement from the Premier League this Tuesday indicates that “The Premier League Board today approved the proposed acquisition of Chelsea Football Club by the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Consortium”. “The purchase is subject to the Government issuing the required sales license and the satisfactory completion of the final stages of the transaction,” the statement added.
