The eleven of day 22 of Diario AS in LaLiga SmartBank

The twenty second LaLiga SmartBank day had eleven protagonists that we detail below. They highlighted Abdón Prats (Mallorca), with a goal and an assist and Cristo González (Mirandés), who scored a double in 30 minutes against Cartagena. Juan Carlos (Girona) had a memorable performance in goal against Espanyol. Óscar Sielva (Ponferradina) and Cubillas (Castellón) scored two good goals.

Goalkeeper

Juan Carlos (Girona)

Girona beat the leader in Montilivi by the minimum, thanks to a goal from Pablo Moreno. However, the best player on the bench was undoubtedly Juan Carlos. The goalkeeper of the Catalans stopped everything that came to him, completing seven interventions and six of them from within the small area. Three of them very clear to Melamed, David López and Keidi Baré.

Defending

Skull (Girona)

If Juan Carlos's work was essential for Girona to win, neither can Jordi Calavera's work be underestimated. The full-back, in fact, solved his goalkeeper's only mistake with a clearance on the same goal line, shot by De Tomás. Juan Carlos made a false start and the defender was attentive to clear with his head.

Advíncula (Lightning)

Advíncula's first goal with Rayo this season was how little positive the Madrid citizens took from Mallorca's visit to Vallecas. The Peruvian maintained the illusion of the franjirrojos with a goal that made it 1-3 before the break. His goal came from outside the area and after cutting his pair. The shot bounced before reaching goal and it was impossible for Reina.

Polished (Fuenlabrada)

Pulido is one of the key pieces in the defense of Fuenlabrada. Sandoval fully trusts the central defender and he gives it back to him on the field with his constant work. Against Alcorcón, Torres's side added a point with a great performance from Madrid, spotless in defense: five punts, three blocked shots and also, in attack, a shot on goal.

Midfielders

Cristo González (Mirandés)

Reach out and kiss the saint. That is exactly what Cristo González has done at Mirandés. The midfielder on loan from Udinese scored a double in 30 minutes against Cartagena, in his second game with the Burgos. His acclimatization to José Alberto's team has been perfect and will surely give Mirandés a lot of joy.

Óscar Sielva (Ponferradina)

Some time ago we said in these lines that Óscar Sielva only understands goals. Against Málaga, the Ponferradina midfielder did not score from a direct free kick, but his goal has nothing to underestimate the previous ones: huge volleyball and close to the post, to the center of Erik Morán from the left wing, unstoppable for Dani Barrio.

Sergio Ruiz (Las Palmas)

The Cantabrian midfielder is in a sweet moment of play. Against Leganés he scored his third goal in the last seven games. His goal put the momentary 1-0 on the scoreboard, in a play in which he advanced without encountering opposition, to finally beat Cuéllar, from outside the area and with a shot adjusted to his right post.

Hugo Rama (Lugo)

Lugo returned to the path of triumph and Hugo Rama had a lot to do with it. The midfielder scored his fourth goal of the season to set the sentence against Tenerife. Masterful and poisoned free kick, in which several players went to the auction and that nevertheless ended up lodged inside the goal of Dani Hernández, without anyone touching it.

Forwards

Abdon (Mallorca)

The Mallorca forward was the most outstanding player of the day after scoring a goal and scoring another against Rayo. He soon began to earn the honor, after completing a wall volley with Amath, for Amath to score the first goal of the game. The second came minutes later and this one I did point it out: dribbling against Catena inside the area and a goal after collecting the rejection of his first shot.

Cubillas (Castellón)

Castellón won again after four games without doing so (three in the League and one in the Cup), making good the saying of “new coach, sure victory.” Without detracting from Juan Carlos Garrido, Cubillas played a prominent role in the victory of the Castellón team. Sensational header shot, in the purest Cristiano Ronaldo style, to beat Christian Sánchez.

Sadiq (Almeria)

The Nigerian forward of Almería is at his best. With his goal against Sabadell, he has already accumulated six goals in the last three games (12 goals in total so far this season, between the League and the Cup). His goal, however, did not help the Andalusians add the three points against a good Sabadell, who made things very difficult.
