According to Confidential Monarchy, the trip will take place at the end of February or beginning of March. It is a meeting not only between two Heads of State and their consorts but also between parents who are going through similar moments: that of facing the most important stage in the formation of their first-born daughters, Eleanor of Bourbon y Amalia from Holland, heirs to their respective crowns. “They will talk about her daughters. Felipe is very proud of the military training that Leonor is receiving and brags about it whenever he can,” they say.

The big difference between both heiresses lies, at this time, in their military training. Last August, the Princess of Asturias entered the Higher Military Academy of Zaragoza, where they have adapted the contents so that she can take the three training courses (Land, Sea and Air) in just three years. They assure that Leonor is delighted with this new stage, as are her colleagues and her superiors, who describe her as a dedicated, responsible and very diligent student.

Amalia, for her part, has not joined the Army at the moment. She was called up in 2020 but then she claimed not to be prepared to face military service. He did visit some facilities, such as the Volkel air base (where he met the Royal Air Force and participated in training in an F-16), the Royal Navy (he boarded a ship and the submarine Zr.Ms. Sea Lion, where he received all the explanations about life underwater) and, finally, he rode in a leopard combat tank alongside the soldiers assigned to the cavalry regiment that bears his name, the Huzaren Princess Catharina Amalia.
