Ziganda continues in front of Oviedo. The former Athletic coach has renewed his contract with the Asturian club until June 30, 2022. In this way, he will complete his third season at the helm of the Carbayones, the last fully, after taking over the team in the middle of the course 2019-20.

The Navarrese continues with his same work team, with Bingen
Arostegi second as in Athletic. “The club continues to work from all areas of the entity, laying the foundations for the construction of its 21/22 project, with the closing of the incorporation of the new sports director being a top priority,” says the entity on its website.

In his first campaign, Kuko saved the team from relegation to Second B and in the one that it has recently finished has classified Oviedo in thirteenth place with 52 points, 15 from the playoff positions to First Division marked by Rayo Vallecano, trained by Andoni
Iraola, another former Athletic player. The Usurbil coach has led the Madrid players to contest the final for promotion after eliminating Leganés in the semifinal. Now they will face Girona in a double round. The first game will be on Sunday in Vallecas.
