Throughout this Friday, the few remaining sports competitions have been falling. No discipline escapes the world crisis that has caused the coronavirus pandemic and the fans, whatever the game may be, are going to have some very boring weeks. No football, no basketball, no tennis, no cycling … Nothing escapes the exceptional situation.

Even the most reluctant tournaments have yielded to the evidence. The Premier League English in the morning and Bundesliga German in the afternoon have announced that they suspend their competitions. The English, until April 4. The Germans, until the 2nd. They join the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French or Belgian League, all of them in 'stand by' since Thursday. The teams are now trying to face a new situation.

Beyond football, this Friday also saw the cancellation of two of the most important events on the international calendar. The Italy spin cannot start as planned May 9 in Budapest Because the Hungarian authorities have announced that they are revoking the authorization for the cycling caravan to step on their territory.

For its part, and after the suspension of 'The Players', the fifth major that took place since Thursday, the Augusta Masters, first 'major' of 2020 whose start was scheduled for the April 9th. That being the case, there is nothing left standing in world sport for the next two months, except that the idea, certainly difficult to see now, of soccer competitions being resumed continues.
