BARCELONA, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Colombian cyclist Iván Ramiro Sosa and the Spanish Alejandro Valverde, in his last ‘Corsa Rosa’, will be the leaders of the Movistar Team in the Giro d’Italia that starts this Friday, a first ‘Grand’ in which the ‘Bala’ will try to repeat the podium of his only previous participation.

Valverde made the podium, being third in the final general classification, and won a stage in his only participation in the Giro d’Italia, in 2016. In this farewell 2022, he will say goodbye to the ‘Corsa Rosa’ from within and as co-leader of the Movistar Team .

At his side, Iván Sosa, who has just won the Vuelta a Asturias, will also look for the general, taking advantage of his good form and being one of the signings of the telephone team in this season of changes.

Together with Valverde and Sosa, the Spanish team highlights the “reliability” of Arcas or Rojas, the “climbing courage” of Pedrero or Samitier -13th in the 2020 Giro-, or the “youth and work” of Lazkano and Barta . Arcas, Lazkano and Barta will debut in a Giro d’Italia.
