Tusquets, ready to advance the Barcelona elections

Carles tusquets, president of the FC Barcelona management company, has opened the door to a possible electoral advance regarding the date of March 7, which was the one scheduled for the club's elections, which were postponed compared to the originally scheduled date of January 24.

Tusquets points out that the elections could be held on February 28, thus bringing forward the date that was supposed to be most likely after the postponement due to the pandemic.
“We would be delighted to be able to advance the elections a week if the conditions are met,” he said. Tusquets in an interview with Catalunya Ràdio.

The president of the management company has summoned for today the three candidates for the presidency: Joan Laporta, Víctor Font and Toni Freixa to explain the new panorama that derives from the decree law approved on Tuesday by the Generalitat in the Catalan Sports Law.

As explained by the government spokeswoman Meritxell Budó Catalan sports entities will be able to enter voting by mail and email in their electoral processes. Therefore, if the entity agrees with Post, the elections could be brought forward without risk to the pandemic thanks to the vote by mail.
