Atlético travels by plane to Lisbon today and the rojiblanco team will live in a real bubble from the moment they set foot at the Madrid airport. Avoiding contagions and following the protocol is the great objective of the Madrid team when traveling to the Portuguese capital. Protection measures will be extreme. The rojiblanca delegation on the plane will be made up of about 85 people, 40 of them from the first team, including players and members of the coaching staff.
The members of the red and white delegation will enter the plane through two different doors. The group of 40 people corresponding to the first team (players and coaches), will do it through a door. The rest, utilleros, doctors, communication, security, leaders … will do it through another door. The challenge is to avoid contact between the footballers and the rest of the expedition members.
Something similar will happen in the hotel in Lisbon. The Epic Sana in the Portuguese capital will be a bunker. There will be a restaurant and cafe for players only. They will not share common areas with the rest of the Atlético delegation. In the hotel the security personnel, waiters … will always be the same also to avoid possible infections.
