This is the “largest in the world” offshore wind farm that CaixaBank has financed

CaixaBank has participated in the financing of Dogger Bank Wind Farm, the “largest offshore wind farm in the world”, which is being built on the northeast coast of England and for which it has contributed 3,000 million pounds (about 3,500 million euros to the current change).

CaixaBank has participated as Mandated Lead Arranger in the financing that has just been carried out for phase C of this wind farm, together with 27 financial entities and three export credit agencies, and has already been part of phases A and B, reports this Monday in a statement.

Dogger Bank will be completed in 2026, will have a capacity of 3.6 GW and will produce enough clean and renewable electricity to supply 5% of the total demand of the United Kingdom, “equivalent to the consumption of some six million homes”.

The United Kingdom is “a key market” for CaixaBank due to its size, its economic prospects and its strategic links with other large markets.

Since 2015, CaixaBank has participated in 16 financing operations for renewable energy projects in the United Kingdom, with a total capacity of more than 12,000 MW.
