Youtube Video

A very special video for the communicator from Huelva, in which he regretted saying goodbye to one of his most remembered programs, in which he interviewed, in his own way, the best-known personalities in the country: “We have toured many nights together and now our paths diverge,” he said. The presenter launched a criticism of the media: “Television is a lie. Advertising is a lie, politics is a lie. A dirty lie. We live wallowing in lies. If we continue like this, it will be easier to believe in God than to believe in the man”. His sentence was clear: “As long as there are fools, there will be fools.”

He also admitted that “fame is boring; glory is heavy”: “Everything is shipwreck, collapse. Everything is failure. But don’t think about it and try to enjoy everything.” In addition, he left his viewers wanting more: “Soon the hill will be animated again with new voices and presences. Until then I wish you happy dreams. Now I am going to answer myself, I don’t know where, the questions that I have done all this time to others”.

His eldest daughter, Andrea, was born in 1992 from his first marriage to Ángeles Urrutia. She has followed in the footsteps of her father and is a journalist like him. His second daughter is Lola, who was born in her second marriage to Joana Bonet. Bonet, precisely, was the last person to interview him for Vanity Fair in August 2021.

The last woman who has accompanied him on his trip has been María, whom he married just two summers ago. She and her two daughters have been very focused on the presenter. His family was in charge of communicating to the press on September 7 that he was admitted to the residence of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, in Ubrique, “after some medical complications.”
