The United States does not give China an option and wins its fourth consecutive World Cup

MADRID, 1 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The United States women’s team has once again made history by winning the 2022 World Cup in Australia, its fourth consecutive title and eleventh in total, after clearly beating China 61-83 in a duel that it won by 29 points.

The Americans have completed an immaculate World Cup, with eight wins in the eight games they have played. Center A’Ja Wilson was named the competition’s ‘MVP’, an award given to her by Pau Gasol, and she finished off by being the best of her team in the final, with 19 points.

For China, Yueru Liu was the one who put up the fight, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, but could do nothing to avoid defeat. In the ideal quintet, in addition to Wilson, there are the American Breanna Stewart, the Chinese Xu Han, the Australian Steph Talbot and the Canadian Bridget Carleton. As prior to the final, Australia got the bronze after winning 95-65 to Canada.
