The summer MAPFRE League will also be women's

The MAPFRE tennis league, an initiative of the Spanish Federation (RFET) to alleviate the lack of international competition in summer, will also have its women's category tournaments. The tour will consist of four tournaments with a table of 24 tennis players each, and two of its headquarters have already been confirmed: the RACE in Madrid and the Els Gorsch Tennis Club (Las Franquesas del Vallés, Barcelona). Both, on fast track.

The RFET has not yet revealed dates, but the participation of the main national rackets is expected, with the doubt of what Garbiñe Muguruza, who lives in Geneva (Switzerland), will decide. The WTA circuit is stopped until at least July 12 and the objective is to compensate for the lack of competition and also of economic income for the lower ranking players.

The men's MAPFRE League already has four stops starting on July 10 at CT Lleida. The others will be in Madrid, the Equelite Academy of Villena and Avilés (Asturias). The tournaments will alternate between a table of eight players and a competition of two teams of five tennis players and will have a final winner. Teledeporte will offer the appointments.
