The Sauber team will be renamed Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the next two seasons

MADRID, 15 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Sauber structure confirmed this Friday that the team name for the 2024 and 2025 Formula 1 seasons will be Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, after the Australian streaming platform Kick.com acquired the naming rights to the chassis from the Swiss factory, according to a statement.

“The Australian streaming platform Kick.com acquires the naming rights to the chassis for the 2024 and 2025 seasons,” Sauber revealed on its website about the new role of its current title sponsor for the next two seasons.

In addition, by acquiring the rights to the name of the chassis, the streaming platform will also appear in the name of the car for 2024, which will be called KICK Sauber C44. The Kick.com brand has already appeared “prominently” on the bodywork of the C43 in some races in 2023, but this Friday's announcement “further deepens the strong ties” between Sauber and its strategic partner.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, as representative of the Swiss team, recalled that Sauber “has always focused on innovation, breaking molds and challenging conventions.” “Partnering with Kick.com is the latest and boldest example of the philosophy that drives us.” Our goal is to take the next step to find new and innovative ways to reach out to our fans,” he said in the statement.

For his part, Kick.com co-founder Bijan Tehrani was “delighted” that the alliance is now going to “an incomparable magnitude.” “Uniquely, this universally popular sport aligns perfectly with our product and what we are building,” he said.

Sauber, in the F-1 World Championship uninterruptedly since 1993, broke ties with Alfa Romeo, which has collaborated since 2019, once announcing that Audi would be its new partner from 2026, with the entry of the new regulations.
