Second Time Around

It has been reported that Real Madrid are confident that they can land Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe even though they failed to do so last summer. He rejected a free transfer to Real last summer and inked a three-year deal with PSG. The French club may not want to let Mbappe go, as they are also likely to lose Lionel Messi, as it has been reported that he’s already decided to leave PSG when his current contract expires after the season.

PSG will likely win France Ligue 1 but were a disappointment in the Champions League, bowing out in the round of 16. They still have Mbappe under contract and losing him and Messi would be a big blow to the club. This season Mbappe leads the French league with 26 goals and also has five assists.

Another Battle with Man City

Not only is Real taking on Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League semis but they will also battle off the pitch. Both teams have their sights set on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. The English national is only 19 years old and while City is still in the mix there have been rumblings that there is already an under-the-table deal between Real and Dortmund.

It is no secret that Real has worked hard to land players in the midfield, as they know they have to be ready for life after aging stars Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. While only 19 years old Bellingham made his debut for Birmingham but after only one season left for Dortmund. He has 21 goals in 120 appearances for the German club, already has 24 caps for England, and was a key player for the England squad that made the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar.

A Little Extra Push

While it remains to be seen what will happen in the Champions League, Real may want a little extra push in the off-season, as they failed to repeat as La Liga champions. Barcelona has already won the title this season, clinching in their last match and any time Santiago Bernabeu finishes second fiddle to their rival they look to change things up. They will definitely go into next season as the favorites to win the league if they can sign Mbappe and Bellingham, who are two of the most sought-after players in the world.
