The Federation of Peñas del Elche, a collective that brings together the majority of the followers of the Elche team, has requested this Tuesday to the Government Subdelegation authorization to hold a car rally next Saturday to protest against the sports and institutional management of the entity led by the Argentine Christian bragarnik.
The concentration, to which all the clubs and fans of the Elche team are invited, intends to be held from 4:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Martínez Valero stadium, two and a half hours before the game against Villarreal.
The intention of the Federation of Peñas is that all fans make a “big whistle” with the horns of their vehicles to express their discomfort and disagreement with the management that is being carried out in the entity.
The group warns that for safety reasons, no more than two people may go, always with a mask, in each car and that they will not be able to get out of the vehicle at any time during the act of protest.
The Federation of Peñas, in parallel, also wants in the statement to send “encouragement” to the Elche players, since it considers that “only they can get us out of relegation places with their struggle and dedication.”
This joint initiative is the first major protest that the owner of the entity, Christian Bragarnik, has faced since he acquired the majority shareholding of Elche in December 2019.
The bad sports dynamics have been joined in recent days by the departure of the club of the general director, Patricia Rodríguez, and the paralysis of the entity in the winter market despite the request of the coaching staff to reinforce the squad.
