The new Yayá Touré dazzles at Arsenal

Albert Sambi Lokonga arrived at Arsenal this summer from Anderlecht and it took him a dozen games to start receiving praise. At just 22 years old, he is already compared, nothing more and nothing less, with Yayá Touré. The young Belgian midfielder has earned Mikel Arteta’s trust from the get-go. In fact, he has played every Premier League game except one. Curiously, that match in which Lokonga did not play for a minute was the victory suffered by Arsenal against Manchester City 5-0.

One of the main admirers of Lokonga is his former technician Vicent Kompany, who has not hesitated to say of him that “It is the new Yayá Touré.” The former Barcelona and Manchester City player is convinced his compatriot will make Premier League history.

Precisely, it was Arteta who revealed that in the summer she had a talk with Kompany and recommended that she sign Lokonga: “I know Vincent Kompany very well and he speaks highly of Albert and the positive impact he had on Anderlecht in recent seasons.”.
