The Movistar Team will have customized templates and biomechanics of Podoactiva in 2020

MADRID, Jan. 15 (SportsFinding) –

The Spanish podiatry and biomechanics company Podoactiva will be the official provider of podiatry and biomechanics studies for the Movistar Team cycling team in this 2020 season, according to the company's statement in a statement.

Regarding the design and manufacture of custom templates, Podoactiva thus reinforces its presence in cycling, where he has worked with the pentacampeón of the Tour de France Miguel Induráin, Alberto Contador, winner of seven 'big' -two Twists, two Tours and 3 Laps – and Joaquim 'Purito' Rodríguez, former world number one.

This alliance with Movistar will allow all its cyclists to have biomechanical studies and customized templates with Podoactiva technology, as well as all podiatry treatments and services.

The general director of Podoactiva, Víctor Alfaro, has been “very satisfied” with the agreement. “We are very happy to join the Movistar Team, a leading team that we hope to help achieve more success with the application of our technology and services,” he said.

For its part, Eusebio Unzué, general manager of the cycling team, has highlighted the quality of Podoactiva's services and its trajectory linked to sports. “This collaboration allows us to continue advancing in innovation so that our cyclists have access to more information and exclusive treatments to optimize their performance and advance in the prevention of injuries,” he said.

The Movistar Team is the only Spanish team with a UCI World Tour license, the highest category of world cycling, in 2020. In addition to cycling, the Aragonese company is present in other sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball or futsal, among others.
