The loaned, a good source of income for Alavés

Alavés finds a source of income in the group of footballers that this year has given to other clubs. The first step was taken by finalizing the sale of Ermedin Demirovic to the German Freiburg. The next movements are pending the uncertain outcome of the Second A. Sivera or Burgui may be the next to come out. Almería and Zaragoza, clubs to which they were sent on loan in January, have purchase options in their contracts that they will have to execute if they rise to the First Division.

The albiazul club thus begins to obtain revenues from the policy of attracting new values carried out in the last three campaigns. Apart from the players signed for the first team, the technical secretariat has been recruiting young people with a view to the future. With this, either to find a place where these players continue to grow or because they had no place in the first squad, the entity currently has twelve footballers on loan with a contract in force for next year.

Of all of them, it was precisely Ermedin Demirovic the only one who seemed to have options to be part of the new project in the First Division. The rest either go back on loan to another destination or look for the formula to make a financial profit when they leave.

Three million

The Bosnian striker is a special case. Signed in the summer of 2017 in principle for the subsidiary, he soon had the option to debut in the first team with Abelardo. The young man entered with force and scored four goals – three in the Cup and one in the League. Thinking that Alavés B was too small, he soon accepted the option of leaving on loan to demonstrate his worth.

He started the 18-19 campaign at Sochaux, where he scored four goals in 1,367 minutes spread over 16 games. After showing a good level in the French Second, he tried without luck in the Spanish Second A, much more demanding. With Almería he only totaled 270 minutes spread over 13 duels and was left blank.

In the recently concluded course, it has strengthened its listing in the Swiss Saint Gallen. Although playing in a minor league, he has achieved 13 goals and 5 assists in 25 duels. Such numbers have sparked the interest of various clubs, most notably French and German. In the end, it was Freiburg that took the lead, putting three million euros on the table and a series of incentives according to their numbers that may fatten the healthy, but always needed, blue-coffers.

Seeing the young striker's little predisposition to extend his current contract, which ends in June 2021, Alavés has decided that the best option is to sell and thus raise an interesting amount of money to balance accounts.

John Guidetti

Another special case in the large payroll on loan is that of the Swedish battering ram. For the Alavés paid Celta four million euros after sealing the permanence in the course 17-18. However, with one of the highest chips in the squad, it still does not offer acceptable performance. Thus, the vitorian club plans to recover as much money as possible for a footballer who no longer has a place in his future plans.

Last January, Sergio Fernández transferred to Hannover 96, from the German Second Division, to save a part of his file. When looking for a new destination, the fact that the Eurocup is played next summer may play in favor of the Gasteiz team. Guidetti knows that he needs to play minutes to play the great continental date with Sweden. Therefore, it may be more likely to accept a new exit, since it is aware that in Mendizorrotza it will not have it.

Two other footballers that may be interesting in the market are center-back Olivier Verdon, who came from Sochaux, and striker Patrick Twumasi, another of Sergio Fernández's failed bets coming from Kazakh Astana.

The defender has made a remarkable campaign at the Belgian KAS Eupen, where he has accumulated 1,896 minutes in 22 games. The striker credits 6 goals and 5 assists at Turkish Gaziantep.

Two other footballers with whom the club must maneuver intelligently are Adrián Diéguez, the undisputed starter in Alcorcón, and Javi Muñoz, transferred to Tenerife in January. Both conclude their bond on June 30, so it is time to sell them or extend their contracts. In the same one is almost the gasteiztar Einar Galilea, who carried two campaigns yielding a very good level in Croatia.

With contracts until June 2023 are the young Argentine striker Ramon Miérez, loaned to Tenerife, left-back Saúl (Rayo) and the young Cameroonian Jeando Fuchs, without equipment. The latter constitutes an authentic hot potato for the entity. With them, Anderson Emanuel, Portuguese winger on loan to Fuenlabrada and with a link until 2022 completes the list.
