The CPE and Aldi renew their collaboration and sponsorship agreement for Paris 2024

MADRID, 26 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) and Aldi have renewed this Thursday their sponsorship agreement until the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, within the framework of the Paralympic Sports Support Plan (ADOP), a collaboration that allows them to continue giving nutritional advice to Spanish Paralympic athletes, as reported by the CPE in a statement.

Since this initiative was signed in 2020, more than a hundred Spanish Paralympic athletes have benefited from this agreement, including those who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Specifically, this collaboration is based on the service of an expert sports nutritionist of high performance, which works with the CPE to guide and advise athletes in their preparation for sports competitions, through specific nutritional programs and individual monitoring.

The president of the CPE, Miguel Carballeda, pointed out that this collaboration “goes beyond conventional sponsorship.” “In addition to an economic collaboration, Aldi takes care of the nutrition of our athletes so that they reach the great national and international competitions in the best conditions,” he said.

“They joined us in 2020, on the way to Tokyo, and as is often the case with sponsors of the Paralympic Family, once they come in, they stay, and now they’re joining us on the way to Paris,” added Carballeda.

For his part, the CEO of Aldi Spain, Valentín Lumbreras, stated that this agreement shows his “commitment to nutrition and health.” “Being able to work with the CPE is a great pride and honor for the entire Aldi team. Our purpose is to continue helping athletes to have the best nutritional plan to achieve and improve their sports goals in the next Paralympic Games and continue developing a nutritional legacy for sport and society,” he said.

This agreement is part of Aldi’s project ‘Devour your goals’ to promote the importance of nutrition in sports performance and extend this knowledge to society, as part of its commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle among its customers.
