The Congolese center Jonathan Kasibabu, new signing of the Breogán River

Congolese international Jonathan Kasibabu became a new player for the Río Breogán this Thursday, where he arrives to make his debut in the Endesa League from French side Nantes in what will be his return to Spain after passing through the Real Madrid youth academy.

Kasibabu, 26, is a strong center who grew up at Real Madrid before making the jump to American college basketball. He later went through the G-League, where he played for the Island Nets and the Austin Spurs, although he did not make his NBA debut.

In the last season, he averaged 7.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in the highest division of French basketball with Nantes. In addition, he is an international with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with whom he has played the qualifying rounds for the World Cup.


His new team defines him as “a player with a good physique, intense and with great rebounding power, capable of playing in all interior positions”.
