The singer's nephew, Antonio Tejado, remains in provisional prison without bail since last Monday for being the alleged mastermind of the assault. This Sunday, the financial amount with which the insurer has compensated the singer has come to light.
The company Helvetiawhich has made the total figure public, has given the artist 267.639,15 euros for all the objects that were stolen from his home. This financial amount is much lower than that corresponding to María del Monte, since insurers calculate the amount based on the value of the objects on the market today.
To this amount we must add 41,231.37 euros pending settlement if the singer proves that the compensation money has been used to purchase the stolen objects.
The company's experts have prepared a report, where they assure that María del Monte's home did not have an active video surveillance system. Thus, the insurer has pointed out that, with the security measures in place, the assailants would have been detected.
Pain in court
With a broken voice, María del Monte left the courts this Friday, where she thanked them for their affection and stressed that she does not plan to give statements about the case. “I want you to understand us and I don't want you to think that if I don't stand at the door of my house it is because now all this is in the hands of an investigation, whose verdict is about to be determined,” he said. , stating that neither she nor Casal have “anything more to do” in charge of the process. For his part, Antonio Tejado will testify next Monday, February 19. Fernando Velo, his lawyer, insists on his innocence and denies any connection with the robbery of the couple's home or with any other. It must be remembered that there are also suspicions about his possible participation in the robbery that Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio suffered three months later in the Andalusian capital.
