The COE hosts this Thursday the II Sustainability Congress ‘The Race of the 2030 Agenda’

The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) hosts next Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at its headquarters in Madrid the II Sustainability Congress ‘The Race of the 2030 Agenda’, which will address the impact of climate change on sport and the carbon footprint generated by sporting activity and events.

In this congress, organized in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and Banco Santander, the heads of the COE itself and experts in the field will propose solutions and actions to reduce and offset this carbon footprint, as well as gender equality initiatives will be presented. , energy efficiency and sustainable mobility.

Among the participants in the different round tables there will be representatives from the world of sports, Olympic athletes such as the sailor Jordi Xammar, bronze in Tokyo 2020; David Maciá, the trainer of climber Alberto Ginés, gold in Tokyo 2020; the president of the Spanish Rowing Federation, Asunción Loriente; as well as public administrations, private companies and institutions.
